Man Due in Court Over Shocking Brighton Rape Charges
A 43-year-old man is set to appear in court today, accused of raping another man in Brighton.
Michael Fry faces two counts of rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), and blackmail. The alleged crimes reportedly happened at his home on New England Street between 2 and 5 April.
Victim Comes Forward, Police Seek Witnesses
The alleged victim, an adult man who cannot be named for legal reasons, reported the offences on 5 April. Sussex Police confirmed he is receiving specialist support.
“This is a complex and wide-ranging investigation, and we are keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who may hold vital information,” said Detective Chief Superintendent Richard McDonagh.

Police Urge Other Victims to Come Forward
Fry is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today, 10 April.
