Racist Vandalism Hits Ukrainian Flag at Uley Church
A Ukrainian flag was ripped down and defaced with hateful racist graffiti at St Giles C of E Church in Uley, Dursley.
The flag flew proudly on a pole in the churchyard from 7pm on Thursday, May 26, until it was removed sometime before 7am the next morning. The culprits then scrawled racist abuse over the flag in black marker.
Police Hunt Vandals – Witnesses Urged to Speak Up
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious behaviour near the church during the incident or who has CCTV footage to come forward.
“If you witnessed anything or have footage, please contact us quoting incident number 152 from May 30th,” police said.
