Fire engine blocked by rogue Mercedes on double yellows in Petworth!
Petworth fire crew raced to an incident on Grove Lane last night (12th December). But their rush was halted on High Street at the corner of Middle Street.
Double yellow disaster
A Mercedes parked illegally on double yellow lines made the road impassable for the fire engine. The stubborn parking spot could have cost precious seconds.
False alarm saves the day
Thankfully, the call turned out to be a false alarm. No fire was found, so the delay didn’t cause real harm.
