48-Hour Ban on Antisocial Driving Hits Dartford Roads
A tough new 48-hour enforcement order kicks in at 6pm this Friday, 4 March 2022, cracking down on antisocial driving across key Dartford routes.
Targeted Roads Under Scrutiny
The ban covers two main roads – the A206 and the B255 – including hotspots like Crossways Boulevard, Quadrant 1, Galleon Boulevard, Anchor Boulevard, Newton’s Court, Schooner Court, Capstan Court, Masthead Close, Clipper Boulevard, and Bridge Close.
Drivers Beware: Police Mean Business
Police officers and PCSOs will have the power to order anyone driving in an antisocial way – causing alarm or distress – to leave the area. Repeat offenders who ignore the order face arrest and vehicle seizure.
Inspector Trevor Jenner of the Dartford Community Safety Unit warned: “Kent Police has received reports from residents about groups of motorists driving in an antisocial manner, causing excessive noise and sometimes putting others in danger. The actions of a small minority behaving irresponsibly can have a big impact on the community. Those who keep causing a nuisance risk losing their vehicles.”
How to Report Antisocial Driving
If you spot antisocial behaviour on the roads, call Kent Police on 101 or report it online via the Kent Police website. Your tip-off could help clean up Dartford’s streets.
