Early Morning Fire Hits Storeroom Electrical Cupboard

A fire broke out in a storeroom’s electrical intake cupboard early this morning. Two people managed to escape the building before firefighters arrived, and thankfully no injuries were reported.

The blaze was spotted by a staff member who heard a loud bang and saw flames inside the storeroom. The fire brigade was called at 7:40am, and by 8:06am the fire was under control.

Two fire engines from Sidcup and Eltham fire stations responded swiftly, dousing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading further.

Cause of Fire Believed to Be Electrical Fault

The fire is thought to have started accidentally, linked to an electrical meter in the cupboard. Authorities are investigating the exact cause.
