A nasty collision involving two cars and a lorry has slammed the clockwise carriageway of the M25 in Surrey, sparking major traffic chaos.
Crash Closes Key Section Between Junctions 5 and 6
The smash happened between Junction 5 (A21, Chipstead) and Junction 6 (Godstone). Emergency services, including Surrey Police, raced to the scene to deal with the wreckage and help those involved.
National Highways Traffic Officers are also on-site, battling to control traffic and ease the snarls caused by the motorway shutdown.
Drivers Face Huge Delays – Follow Diversions Now
Commuters heading clockwise on the M25 should brace for delays of up to 30 minutes. To beat the jams, drivers are urged to follow the hollow triangle diversion signs carefully.
Here’s the diversion route:
- Exit the M25 at Junction 5 onto the A21
- Take the second exit onto the A25 towards 123
- Rejoin the M25 at Junction 6 (Godstone Interchange) towards Gatwick Airport
Plan Ahead or Delay Your Journey
