The smash happened between Junction 5 (A21, Chipstead) and Junction 6 (Godstone). Emergency services, including Surrey Police, raced to the scene to deal with the wreckage and help those involved.

- Exit the M25 at Junction 5 onto the A21
- Take the second exit onto the A25 towards 123
- Rejoin the M25 at Junction 6 (Godstone Interchange) towards Gatwick Airport
