Oxford Road Shut After Serious Crash in Reading
Oxford Road in Reading is closed both ways between Western Elms Avenue and Beecham Road following a major accident. Emergency crews are currently at the scene managing a serious collision.
Firefighters and Air Ambulance Rush to Scene
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue have dispatched multiple appliances from Caversham, Wokingham Road, and Dee Road. A spokesman confirmed the incident is ongoing. The Thames Valley Air Ambulance has also been called in, along with several ambulances and support vehicles.
Emergency Services Respond to Collision
South Central Ambulance Service revealed the crash was reported at about 1.15pm on Thursday, December 8. Drivers are urged to avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
