Florin Rusu, 35, from Leeds, was stopped by police on Coldhams Lane, Cambridge, in July 2023 after officers suspected his vehicle was linked to drug dealing.
Following the stop, officers found twenty wraps of cocaine hidden in his underpants during a search at the police station.

During the vehicle stop, officers also seized three phones and numerous SIM cards from Rusu’s car, which he refused to unlock, raising further suspicion.
Guilty Plea In Court
Rusu pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug and failing to surrender to bail at Huntingdon Law Courts.
Three-year Prison Sentence
On Thursday, 18 June, the court sentenced Rusu to three years behind bars for the drug offences and breaching bail conditions.
