High-Speed Getaway Ends in Jail
Christopher Williams, 38, from Mountain Ash, has been sentenced to five years behind bars and banned from driving for two years. The Cardiff Crown Court handed down the sentence on April 10 after Williams pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis, dangerous driving, and handling stolen property. In January 2026, police raided Williams’ home. When officers arrived, Williams tried to make a quick escape, speeding off in his Volkswagen Golf. But the chase didn’t stop the investigation.
Drug Haul and Luxury Loot Found
The police search uncovered multiple clear bags stuffed with cannabis, weighing scales, and high-value items, including Nike shoes and Rolex watches. Williams later returned to the property and was arrested. A search of his car found even more pricey sneakers.
Repeat Offender Finally Faces Tough Justice
This marks Williams’ third cannabis supply offence in five years. Police Constable Cameron Allcock warned, “This was Williams’ third offence within the last five years; he will now serve a much longer sentence because of this.” He added, “We continue to tackle local drug supply across the force, and any intelligence you have could be of vital importance, so please report it to us.”
