Police have confirmed the discovery of a body amid the search for missing 66-year-old Ross Bunney from the village of Warsash, Hampshire.

Officers launched a search for Ross Bunney on Thursday after concerns were raised over his disappearance. The 66-year-old’s family and local police had been urgently seeking any information about his whereabouts.

Hampshire Constabulary announced on Saturday evening (December 17) that a body was found during the ongoing investigation. While the body hasn’t been formally identified as Ross, the loved one’s next of kin have been informed.

The police stated there are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. Formal identification checks remain in progress as officers continue their enquiries.
“Officers investigating the disappearance of 66-year-old Ross Bunney from Warsash discovered a body this afternoon,” Hampshire Constabulary said. “Ross’s next of kin have been notified, but formal identification procedures are still underway.”
