Man in his 40s in life-threatening condition after A36 hit-and-run near Codford

Serious Collision on A36

Police were called just after 10.30pm following a collision on the A36 close to Codford. A pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was struck and rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Man Remains Critical

He remains in a life-threatening condition, police confirmed. No arrests have been made so far as inquiries continue.

Road Closures Causing Chaos

The A36 is shut near Heytesbury and Deptford and is expected to stay closed through most of the morning. Drivers are urged to find alternative routes to avoid delays.
