Woman Dies After Hit-and-Run on Talgarth Road
A tragic hit-and-run unfolded just after 6pm on Tuesday, 16 January, on Talgarth Road, W14. Ina Rodrigues, 58, was struck by a moped while crossing at the junction with Gliddon Road.
Moped Riders Flee Scene Leaving Woman Critically Injured
Emergency services, including officers and the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Ina was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away on Sunday, 21 January, despite medical efforts.
Her devastated family are receiving support from specially trained officers as the investigation continues.
The moped involved did not stop. CCTV later showed the bike abandoned nearby. Both the rider and a passenger fled the scene on foot.
Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Suspects
Detective Constable Matt Jackson of the Roads and Transport Policing Command is leading the probe. He said:
“Our investigation has tracked the moped to where it was abandoned, but we need the public’s help to identify the two people involved in the collision. Ina’s family has been devastated by this tragedy. We want to provide them with answers. If you have any information, please get in touch immediately.”
So far, no arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
