Queen Victoria Hospital Crowned Best NHS Inpatient Care in the UK
Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH) has smashed it again, topping the national inpatient survey across all NHS hospitals in England. The hospital scored highest for nursing care, treatment quality, and overall patient experience.
Nurses Snatch Top Spot for Patient Care
Patients rated QVH nurses the best in the country. They praised nurses for clear communication, including patients in conversations, and inspiring trust and confidence throughout their stay.
Top Marks for Treatment and Support
QVH also led the pack on care and treatment. Staff excelled at providing clear information about conditions and treatments, listened carefully to fears, and worked hard to control patient pain.

Steve Jenkin, Chief Executive, said: “This achievement is something every member of staff and volunteer at the hospital has contributed to. Chief Nurse Nicky Reeves added: “Patients have told us that they had confidence and trust in the staff treating them, and we know that feeds into our excellent clinical outcomes. They also told us that we go the extra mile on the things that are really important when you are in hospital, like helping patients to keep in touch with family and friends.”
