Drama Unfolds as Two Swimmers Go Missing Near St Anne’s Pier, Lancashire
Emergency Call Sparks Massive Search
Just before 6.40pm on 15th August, HM Coastguard sprang into action after a 999 call reported three swimmers in trouble near St Anne’s Pier, Lancashire.
One Rescued, Two Still Missing
One person managed to reach shore and was checked by paramedics. The frantic search continues for the other two swimmers feared missing in the water.

The search briefly paused in the early hours but resumed at first light. While the original coastguard helicopter left the scene, a 1 helicopter joined the frantic hunt for the missing swimmers.
