Traffic Nightmare: Tailbacks Stretch Back to Staines
Motorists are stuck in gridlock with wait times now exceeding 30 minutes. Tailbacks reach all the way to Junction 13 (A30) near Staines, with heavy congestion spilling onto the A30 into town. Drivers are strongly urged to avoid the area if possible. National Highways warns the closure will remain until around 10:45am, with full reopening expected shortly after. Current delays are 40 minutes above normal.
‘Up & Over’ Closure Causes Diversions
To manage the chaos, traffic is being diverted off and back on the motorway via slip roads in an “up & over” closure. Commuters should find alternative routes to dodge the jams and heavy delays.
