No Children in Danger, Headteacher Insists
In a letter addressed to parents, the headteacher assured families that no pupils were present or put at risk during the scare.
“I wanted to reassure our families that no children in the school were present or at risk at any point,” the statement said.
“The incident involved a member of the public and our school staff acted swiftly in the circumstances and called the police. As this is now a police investigation, I am not able to share many details.”
Police Investigation Underway
Police Scotland confirmed they have opened an investigation. The school promised to update the community once more information becomes available.
“The safety of our children and staff is and remains our priority,” the headteacher added.
“I know that the presence of the police will have caused concern. Thank you for the continued support of our school community.”
