Detectives investigating a fatal collision on the A27 that claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman have issued a public appeal to trace a man they believe could assist their enquiries. Sussex Police are urging Mohammed Rasauli, 22, to come forward following the collision on Wednesday, 15 July. Officers say they are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash and believe Mohammed Rasauli may have information that could prove vital to the investigation. Detective Inspector Kani Barawi said: “We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this tragic collision. “I am appealing directly to Mohammed to get in touch with us as soon as possible. We believe you may have information that could assist our investigation, and I would urge you to come forward and speak to officers.” Police are also appealing to members of the public who may know Mohammed Rasauli or have been in contact with him to help officers locate him. Detective Inspector Barawi added: “If anyone knows of Mohammed’s whereabouts, or has been in contact with him recently, I would ask them to contact Sussex Police immediately.” The collision claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman, whose family continue to be supported by specially trained officers. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation, or who knows where Mohammed Rasauli is, is urged to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting the reference number relating to the investigation. Police have stressed that the appeal is part of an ongoing investigation as officers continue working to establish exactly what happened.
