Flat Fire Rages on Arthur Street
Firefighters raced to a third-floor flat in a seven-storey building on Arthur Street, Erith, after a devastating fire broke out on Friday.
The blaze damaged half the flat before crews arrived. Thankfully, a woman and three others escaped unharmed.

Investigators believe the fire started from a faulty lithium battery in an e-bike.
A fire service spokesperson warned, “It’s extremely concerning that we’re seeing more and more fires caused by e-bikes and e-scooters.”
