By 9am on 8 April, the UK has wrapped up 282,074 coronavirus tests, including 14,682 on 7 April alone. So far, 232,708 people have been put through the testing process.
Positive Cases Climb
Of those tested, a staggering 60,733 returned positive results, highlighting the ongoing spread of the virus.
Deaths Hit Grim Milestone
Tragically, as of 5pm on 7 April, the UK has recorded 7,097 deaths among hospitalised COVID-19 patients.
