Teens Attacked and Robbed by River Stour Gang

Just before 6pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, six teenagers were hanging out by the River Stour when trouble struck. A larger group of around 15 people approached, demanding cigarettes. Things quickly turned nasty.

Belongings Thrown in River, Phones Smashed

The gang threw the victims’ belongings, including their mobile phones, straight into the river, wrecking them. Four of the teens – two boys and two girls – also suffered assaults. To make matters worse, a wallet containing cash and cards was stolen.

Police Seek Witnesses After River Stour Attack

Kent Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or helped the victims afterwards. If you have information, call Kent Police on 01843 222289 and quote 46/95217/21.
