Cash Stolen after Robbery at Totton Sweet Shop

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man stole cash from a shop in Totton. At around 6.55pm on Wednesday, March 8, a man walked into Sweet Thoughts, formerly known as Mardy’s, on Eling Lane, before approaching the cashiers and demanding money from the till. The man then grabbed around £300-500 in cash before fleeing the shop and heading under the bridge to the left on foot. He has been described as around 6ft tall, and wearing a large black puffa style waterproof coat with a hood, and baggy jeans. Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw someone matching this description acting suspiciously in the area at this time.
