Early Morning Fire at Applegreen Service Station Sparks Arrest
Smoke billowed from the Applegreen Service Station at around 1:50am this Monday, August 9. Quick-thinking officers spotted the blaze and alerted Essex County Fire and Rescue Service immediately.
Man, 27, Held Over Suspected Arson
A 27-year-old man was arrested on the scene and remains in custody for questioning as inquiries continue.
Fire Quickly Extinguished, No Injuries Reported
Thankfully, the fire was put out fast and no one was hurt. Police are now working closely with ECFRS to get to the bottom of what caused the blaze.
