London dealer who drove to Tonbridge jailed for Three Years

A London dealer who drove to Tonbridge with the intention to sell drugs has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. Haxhi Krruci, no fixed address, was arrested after he failed to stop for officers near the A21. The 23-year-old pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 18 November 2019 and was sentenced the same day. On the afternoon of 16 October 2019, patrols on Quarry Hill, Tonbridge spotted a suspicious vehicle. They followed the car onto the A21 and signalled to the driver to pull over into a layby. The driver failed to stop and officers pursued the vehicle along the A21. As the vehicle reached a slip road near junction 5, a cigarette box was thrown out of the car. The driver then stopped the car and was subsequently arrested. Inside the discarded cigarette box officers discovered 18 wraps of cocaine. A search of the car also resulted in five mobiles phones being seized. Krruci was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and driving without insurance. Officer in charge of the case, PC Abbie Brookes of Tonbridge CID said: ‘Our patrols are always on the lookout for those who drive into the county from London with the intention to deal drugs. We proactively target suspicious vehicles and, as Krruci has found out, our officers work relentlessly to detect and bring to justice any drug dealers who target our towns in order to prey upon some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.’
