Police Nab Suspect After Multiple Shoplifting Spree
Folkestone cops have charged Andrew Short with a series of crimes after a spree that saw shops raided for booze, cosmetics, and cleaning products. The 37-year-old, who has no fixed address, faces six counts of shop theft from incidents that happened between August 19 and September 24, 2020.
Burglary Adds to Growing List of Charges
Short is also charged with burglary after reportedly stealing a television and £100 from a property in nearby Dymchurch. The thief’s haul has prompted a thorough investigation by the town’s local policing team.
Suspect Appears in Court
Short appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 25, 2020. He was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on October 26, 2020.
