Former Teacher Found Guilty of Child Sex Offences
Graham Tattersall, 68, from Church Street, Windsor, has been found guilty of multiple sex crimes against children. A jury at Reading Crown Court handed down a unanimous verdict after a seven-day trial.
Seven Counts of Indecent Assault and More
Tattersall was convicted of one count of attempted rape, seven counts of indecent assault, and four counts of indecency with a child. However, he was cleared of one rape charge.
Abuse Spanned Over a Decade at Bracknell School
The offences took place between 1979 and 1991 when Tattersall worked as a teacher at Garth Hill School in Bracknell. His victims were girls aged between 12 and 16.
The abuse only came to light decades later, after a victim contacted Thames Valley Police in 2017. This sparked an investigation that led to more victims coming forward.
Arrest, Charges, and Upcoming Sentencing
- Tattersall was first arrested in July 2018.
- He was charged on 17 January this year.
- Convicted on 30 October 2024.
He was remanded in custody and will return to Reading Crown Court for sentencing on 5 November.
