Man Arrested After Brutal Stabbing on Castle Baynard Street

A 32-year-old man was arrested early this morning on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious stabbing on Castle Baynard Street.

Incident Unfolds Just After 5 AM

City of London Police rushed to the scene shortly after 5 am on 18 September. Officers detained the suspect close to where the attack took place. The man is now in custody.

London Ambulance Service treated the victim, who suffered injuries consistent with a stabbing. The victim was rushed to hospital with life-changing—but not life-threatening—wounds.

Police Hunt Closed as Suspect Held

Authorities confirm they are not searching for anyone else connected to the assault. However, a section of the cycle highway on Castle Baynard Street remains closed, with diversions in place.
