Former Teacher Found Guilty of Child Sex Offences

Graham Tattersall, 68, from Church Street, Windsor, has been found guilty of multiple sex crimes against children. A jury at Reading Crown Court handed down a unanimous verdict after a seven-day trial.

Seven Counts of Indecent Assault and More

Tattersall was convicted of one count of attempted rape, seven counts of indecent assault, and four counts of indecency with a child. However, he was cleared of one rape charge.

Abuse Spanned Over a Decade at Bracknell School

The offences took place between 1979 and 1991 when Tattersall worked as a teacher at Garth Hill School in Bracknell. His victims were girls aged between 12 and 16.

The abuse only came to light decades later, after a victim contacted Thames Valley Police in 2017. This sparked an investigation that led to more victims coming forward.

Arrest, Charges, and Upcoming Sentencing

  • Tattersall was first arrested in July 2018.
  • He was charged on 17 January this year.
  • Convicted on 30 October 2024.

He was remanded in custody and will return to Reading Crown Court for sentencing on 5 November.
