Morecambe Shooting Shocker: Two Men Arrested Over Attempted Murder
Detectives have made two arrests in Greater Manchester over a shocking shooting in Morecambe. The men, including a 19-year-old from Swinton, are suspected of attempted murder and remain in custody today (November 20).
Woman Held for Helping Suspect
A 29-year-old Morecambe woman has also been arrested in Lancashire on suspicion of assisting an offender. She is still in custody as police continue their probe.
Incident Details and Ongoing Investigation
The drama unfolded on Monday, November 15, at 5.56pm following reports of a gunshot fired in an alley behind Skipton Street. Emergency teams found a local man in his 20s with serious facial injuries. He’s now in hospital, described as in a serious but stable condition.
Levi McCandlish, 26, from Borwick Court, Morecambe, has been charged with attempted murder and faced Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 19.

“While we have made more arrests and a man has been charged, our enquiries are very much ongoing,” said Det Supt Becky Smith of West Police. “The victim has suffered some extremely serious injuries. I appeal to anyone with information to come forward.”
