Tragic Fire in Sutton Claims Lives of Four Young Brothers
Four young boys have died after a horrific house fire ripped through a home in Sutton on Thursday evening. Neighbours identified the siblings as Kyson, Bryson, Keyton, and Logan.
Boys Pulled from Flames but Couldn’t Be Saved
Firefighters bravely rescued the four children from the burning Collingwood Road house just before 7pm. Despite frantic, desperate resuscitation attempts on the street, the boys—two aged 3 and two aged 4—were tragically pronounced dead after being rushed to south London hospitals.
Mother Arrested as Police Launch Investigation
Their mother, 27-year-old Deveca Rose, has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and remains in police custody. Police, called by the London Fire Brigade, are still at the scene as the cause of the blaze is yet unknown and under investigation.
Community in Shock, Support Offered to Family
Superintendent Rob Shepherd expressed deep condolences: “The thoughts of everyone at the South Area Command Unit are with the family and friends of these four young children, who have suffered such a devastating and tragic loss tonight. These sentiments will be shared across Sutton and London.”
Road closures remain in place as emergency services continue their work late into the night. Specialist support has been offered to the grieving next of kin.
