M20 Shut After Horrific Crash Near West Malling

Kent Police and National Highways have shut the M20 between junctions 4 and 5 following a devastating collision. The crash happened just after 6:20pm on Wednesday, bringing the motorway to a standstill.

Chaos on London-Bound M20

The smash involved an overseas lorry driver and several cars. Reports say a vehicle left the carriageway in the smart motorway section. Emergency services flooded the scene, with two Kent Fire engines called in for extractions.

The incident is ongoing on the London-bound carriageway between junctions 5 and 4. All traffic must exit the motorway at junction 4, causing major delays and heavy congestion.

Motorway Closed – Drivers Warned to Find Alternative Routes

The closure is expected to last for hours. Drivers caught inside the closure are urged to follow overhead gantry instructions carefully. Authorities advise motorists to plan alternative routes to avoid getting stuck.
