This evening (16/1) emergency services responded to two serious collisions in the county. The ambulance service called officers to the B3089 in Berwick St Leonard at 5.50 p.m. after two vehicles collided. One of the vehicles had rolled over on its side. The air ambulance arrived on the scene, and a woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Currently, the road is closed. The fire service called police to the B4039 Yatton Keynell, near Chippenham, shortly before 7.30 p.m. this evening after receiving a report of a three-vehicle collision. The road is still closed while the incident is investigated. Our control room is still receiving numerous reports of black ice across the county, and driving conditions are hazardous. Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to call 101.
