Man, 26, Shot Dead in Lambeth – Police Hunt Witnesses

Detectives are urgently seeking information after a man was fatally shot in Lambeth in the early hours of Saturday, 11 May.

Victim Dropped at Hospital Before Dying

At around 2.30am, medical staff alerted police after the victim, suffering a gunshot wound, was dropped off at St Thomas’ Hospital in a private car. Despite frantic efforts, he died shortly after 3am.

The victim has been named as Jazmel Dashourn Patterson-Low, 26, from Lambeth. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Shooting Sparks Police Murder Investigation

Jazmel was shot at about 2.25am on the Westbury Estate, St Rule Street, SW8. A post-mortem confirmed death was caused by a single gunshot wound.

Scotland Yard’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the murder inquiry. No arrests have been made. Police have recovered the car used to bring Jazmel to hospital and are treating it as key evidence.

Police Plea: Community Help Needed to Catch Killer

Detective Inspector Martin Thorpe, Specialist Crime: “Around 40 people were gathered in and around St Rule Street on Friday night into Saturday morning when a dispute broke out just after 2am, leading to shots fired. I thank those who’ve come forward already. CCTV and forensic checks have sparked multiple lines of inquiry. I’m confident others know what happened and who fired the shots. Please step forward.”
