Second Arrest in Enfield Murder Case

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Enfield have made a major breakthrough. A 42-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Monday, March 4, on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as the investigation continues.

Two Suspects in Custody

This arrest came just a day after a 30-year-old woman was detained on Sunday, March 3, also on suspicion of murder. She too remains held by police while the inquiry progresses.

Tragic Stabbing of 66-Year-Old George Rogers

The murder probe was launched following a horrifying incident on Friday, March 1. Emergency services found 66-year-old George Eric Rogers from Enfield seriously injured with stab wounds in the communal area of Lockhart Close flats. Despite urgent medical efforts, he died at the scene.

Formal identification is pending, but Mr Rogers’ next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem exam is scheduled at Haringey Mortuary on Monday, March 4.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

“We’ve made progress but need more help. Anyone with information or dashcam footage from Lockhart Close, Derby Road, Lincoln Road, or nearby areas, please come forward,” said Detective Chief Inspector Laura Nelson, leading the investigation.
