Mass brawl sends one man to hospital

Wiltshire Police were called to Boscombe Down Road at around 10pm on May 4 after reports of a large fight broke out. One man suffered injuries to his head and shoulder during the chaos.

Teen arrested amid ongoing investigation

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and affray. He was detained at Gablecross custody for questioning but has since been released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.

Police reassure local community

“We understand this incident would have caused concern in the local community – please be reassured that an arrest has been made and we are continuing with our investigation today,” said Insp Russell Griffin.

He added that neighbourhood officers will keep up patrols in the area. Residents are urged to report any information related to the disorder to the police.
