Monster Paedophile Stuart Keay Jailed for 24 Years After Horrific Abuse Spree
Stuart Richard Keay, 48, from Baring Close, Itchen Abbas, Winchester, has been locked up for a whopping 24 years. The verdict came after a brutal three-week trial at Winchester Crown Court.
Shocking Crimes Spanning Decades
Keay faced 16 chilling charges involving girls aged between six and 17. His abuse spanned more than 25 years across Winchester, Eastleigh, and Denmead. The jury found him guilty of 15 counts, including rape, indecent assault, inciting a child to commit an indecent act, and sexual activity with a child.
Victims’ Bravery Brings Justice
The horrific abuse surfaced in 2018 when three victims bravely came forward to police. Their courage finally put a stop to Keay’s campaign of terror. Detective Constable Naomi Stocker from Operation Amberstone led the investigation, saying:
“This was a huge investigation that took us back to 1992 when Keay’s offending began, right through to 2018 when it finally stopped thanks to the victims’ bravery in speaking out.”
Detective Praises Victims’ Courage
Stocker described the case as “truly appalling” and praised the victims’ strength:
“I want to commend and thank them for their help in convicting Keay, a very dangerous and manipulative man. No jail sentence can undo what he’s done, but I hope this conviction offers some closure and a chance for the victims to move on with their lives.”
