Emergency services, including a bomb disposal unit, have been deployed to Ash Eaton Health Centre following reports of a suspicious package earlier today.
The incident has led to road closures and restricted access to the area, with some nearby buildings, including the walk-in centre, being temporarily shut off to both pedestrians and vehicles.

Residents and staff in the vicinity reported seeing the bomb squad arrive on the scene, where controlled explosions were reportedly carried out to neutralize the device safely.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and residents who were evacuated have been allowed to return home.
Witnesses confirmed the arrival of emergency services and the subsequent controlled detonations.
One local resident, Peggy McIntyre, noted that the area had been cordoned off and that bomb disposal teams were actively working to resolve the situation. Another, Wendy Kaines Mazzoncini, reported that the bomb squad was seen carrying evidence bags.

A Spokesman for Kent Police said: “Officers are in attendance in Radnor Park West, Folkestone, following a report of a suspicious package.

Patrols were called to the area at 7.44am on Wednesday 18 September. A road closure was put in place as a precaution but has since been lifted. The MOD’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene to examine the item and confirmed the area to be safe. Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are underway.”
