Masked Men Threaten Woman with Knife in Shocking Leeds Attack
Police are on the hunt for four masked men after a woman was threatened with a knife to her neck and sexually assaulted in Leeds. The terrifying incident happened at 10:50am on Monday as the victim walked between Old Run View and West Grange Road, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
Four men on electric bikes, all wearing black balaclavas and dark clothing, closed in before launching the sickening attack.
String of Attacks Trigger Major Police Probe
This is the latest in a frightening series of five harassment or assault incidents targeting the same woman in Belle Isle over the past month. Officers believe the same gang is behind all assaults, which appear to be racially motivated.
The attacks mostly took place around 9am or early afternoon, with the first reported on November 12 between 3pm and 3:30pm. Leeds South Neighbourhood Police have ramped up patrols to protect the community and catch the attackers.
Detectives Urge Public to Speak Up
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Freeman from Leeds District’s Safeguarding Unit said: “We are appealing for information about these incidents and the four males we believe were involved.”
“This was a particularly horrific incident for the victim and shows an escalating pattern of targeted behaviour.”
“I’m urging anyone in the community who has information to come forward. If you have CCTV footage or have seen individuals on e-bikes wearing masks or balaclavas around Belle Isle, please contact us immediately.”
