London woke to chaos on February 12 after a collision on Barking Road ended in a stabbing. Officers rushed to the scene around 1:10 AM following reports of a crash between a car and a moped — only to be drawn into a serious stabbing investigation moments later.

  • The moped rider, a man in his 30s, suffered injuries but nothing life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for assessment.
  • Soon after, emergency crews were called to a stabbing nearby — believed to involve the driver of the car from the collision.

The stabbing victim, a man in his 20s, was rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries. His condition remains serious as police launch a full investigation.

London Ambulance Service confirmed: “We were called at 1.08am on Wednesday 12 February to reports of an incident on Barking Road involving a road traffic collision and a separate stabbing. We treated two patients — taking one to a major trauma centre and the other to a local hospital.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson added: “There have been no arrests at this stage. Enquiries continue and a large cordon remains in place.”
