Staff at Asda in uk/topic/bucknall/">Bucknall have been doing their best to care for an adorable lost dog named Poppy — but the fluffy escape artist has now bolted again.
The little dog, described as a “cutie pie” by those looking after her, was first found wandering near the supermarket earlier today (April 16). Concerned for her safety, kind-hearted staff took her in and tried to track down her owner.
However, before arrangements could be made to hand her over to animal services or reunite her with her family, Poppy managed to slip away once more.
A spokesperson at the store said: “We’ve been calling her Poppy — she’s such a sweet little thing. We just want to get her home safe. She was with us for a while, but she’s since run off again. If anyone recognises her, please help.”
Local residents are being urged to keep an eye out in gardens, streets, and parks around the Bucknall area. Anyone who spots Poppy or may know where she belongs is encouraged to contact the store or local animal rescue groups.
