A driver has been reported after being found transporting a vehicle on a trailer without any proper method of securing the load.
According to officers, the vehicle had simply been driven onto the trailer with no restraints or safety measures in place to prevent it from falling off. Authorities reminded drivers that relying on gravity alone is not sufficient to secure loads during transport.
In a statement, officers said: “Merely driving a vehicle onto a trailer without securing it is extremely dangerous. Contrary to popular belief, gravity is not enough to stop an insecure load from falling.”
The driver has been formally reported, and enforcement action will follow.
Police have urged all drivers transporting vehicles or goods to use appropriate securing methods, such as straps or chains, to ensure the safety of all road users.
