Speeding Moron Gets Caught After Mocking Speed Watch Volunteers!

RPU Teams Up With Speed Watch to Tackle Rogue Drivers

The Road Policing Unit (RPU) joined forces with the Rother Community Speed Watch (CSW) in Cooden Drive, Bexhill after reports flooded in of drivers speeding and abusing volunteers. On a recent patrol, a gaggle of speeders caught their eye—one even dared to taunt the CSW by creeping past slowly, revving his engine just to make a scene.

Taunter Didn’t Spot the Lurking Traffic Cop

What this cheeky driver failed to notice was a Traffic Officer hiding in a side street. The officer promptly pulled him over and issued a verbal warning for his unruly behaviour. But that wasn’t the end of it. A quick check revealed the young motorist’s rear tyre had under 1.6mm tread — illegal and deadly on the roads.

Fined £100 and Slapped With 3 Points—Lesson Learned?

The driver was hit with a £100 fine plus three points on his licence. The RPU warned this is a clear sign: reckless driving and road safety breaches will not be tolerated. Both RPU and CSW vow to keep the pressure up and patrol streets to keep everyone safe behind the wheel.
