Emergency services respond to heartbreaking discovery

The Metropolitan Police rushed to Millwall Docks, London, at 5.54pm on Friday, 5 September after reports of a man entering the water. A thorough search was conducted by emergency teams.

Man’s body recovered; death treated as unexpected

Tragically, a man’s body was pulled from the water. Police confirmed the death is unexpected but see no signs of suspicious circumstances. Next of kin have not yet been informed.

“We were called at 17:54hrs on Friday, 5 September after concerns were raised about a man seen entering the water at Millwall Docks, E14. Emergency services responded and carried out a search of the area. Sadly the body of a man was recovered from the water. His next of kin are yet to be informed. The death is being treated as unexpected but is not believed to be suspicious.” – Met Police spokesperson
