Drama Erupts on School-Themed Great British Bake Off! Nine bakers battled it out on Tuesday night’s episode, starting with classic canteen flapjacks and a tricky technical bake. For the grand finale, nostalgic school fete treats wowed the judges. After tough deliberations from Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, student Jasmine snagged star baker, but the spotlight quickly shifted as drag king baker Jessika was sent home.

Risky Bake Sees Jessika Booted Early

Jessika, 32, a daring Londoner known for her creative flair, was the fourth contestant to leave the Channel 4 Bake Off. This week’s school theme proved too much when her daring approach backfired.

“Jessika is a risk-taker, and this week she took that risk too far,” said judge Prue Leith.

The service designer admitted, “Everything went wrong – my oven, my microwave, my cake, my biscuits, my meringue.” No shock she was shown the door after that disaster.

Jessika Opens Up: Emotional Highs and Humorous Moments

Despite her exit, Jessika reflected proudly on her Bake Off journey. Her standout moment was week one’s showstopper, featuring apples from Betty’s treasured tree, saying, “Using those apples felt like bringing Betty along for the ride.”

Her best bake? A week two biscuit selfie. Worst? This week’s meltdown.

Jessika also shared some cheeky behind-the-scenes banter with hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond:

  • “I’d love to wear Noel’s clothes!”
  • “Maybe we could become a delightful coordinated drag duo?”
  • On Alison: “I got her a giant hard-boiled diamond ring and asked her in Spanish if she’d marry me… She was playing hard to get but maybe we’re engaged now!”

What’s Next for Jessika?

Jessika’s Bake Off journey may be over, but she’s not disappearing just yet. Catch her on The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice with Jo Brand and Tom Allen on Friday, September 26 at 8pm on Channel 4.
