Havering Police Slam Rumours Over ‘Kidnap Attempt’ in Collier Row

Social Media Frenzy Quashed by Cops

Police in Havering have quickly stepped in to calm nerves after wild rumours spread on social media about an alleged attempted kidnapping last night in the Collier Row and Rise Park areas.

The Met Police have firmly denied any evidence of a kidnap attempt. “At this early stage of our investigation, we can confirm there has been no attempted kidnap of a woman,” the force said. “We do not believe there is any wider risk to the local community.”

Police Urge Calm: No Need to Panic

The Met urged the public to resist speculation while detectives dig deeper. “Whilst our team investigate all the circumstances, we ask that you do not speculate,” the police statement added.
