Man Jailed for Over Five Years After Shocking Reading Sex Attack
A 37-year-old man from Reading has been locked up for more than five years following a violent sexual assault investigation by Thames Valley Police.

Ade Jerry, of Iliffe Close, Reading, was sentenced to five years and four months at Reading Crown Court on Friday, 14 June. He was found guilty of sexual assault by penetration after a unanimous jury decision on Thursday, 7 February, concluding a gruelling ten-day trial.
Horrific Attack in Friar Street
The attack dates back to 3.30am on 24 March 2018, when a woman in her twenties was assaulted inside a Friar Street property in Reading. The chilling incident has now led to justice being served.
Police Praise Victim’s Courage
“I would like to pay tribute to the victim in this case, who has bravely given evidence in court and assisted with the investigation,” said DC James Woodcock from Reading police station.
“Thames Valley Police takes all reports of sexual assault incredibly seriously and will thoroughly investigate to bring offenders like Jerry to court to face justice.”
