Kids Rally to Raise £4,000 for Lifeboat Crew Heroics

Last Thursday (26 April), the young sailors of Ryde Junior School made waves at the Keelboat Regatta in Seaview by handing over a smashing £4,000 to the crew of the RNLB Alfred Albert Williams (Tamar All-Weather Lifeboat 16-17).

The cash was raised by the children themselves, with all proceeds supporting Bembridge RNLI’s vital work.

Big Hearts Save Lives at Sea

It was a day to remember, with the lifeboat team praising the kids for their incredible fundraising efforts.

“We are so grateful to them all for raising so much money which will go directly to saving lives at sea in the Solent area,” the crew said.

This generosity will help keep the brave crews ready to face any sea emergency.
