Man Busted for Carrying Weapon on Folkestone Street

Police swooped after reports of a man spotted with a possible weapon on Rendezvous Street, Folkestone, on the afternoon of Monday 28 March 2022.

Reece Armstrong Faces Multiple Charges

Reece Armstrong, 26, homeless and with no fixed address, was arrested at the scene. He’s now been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place linked to the Rendezvous Street incident.

More Trouble on His Record

Armstrong also faces fresh charges for an earlier scuffle on 23 March in Enbrook Valley, Folkestone:

  • Assaulting an emergency worker
  • Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
  • Causing fear of violence

Appeared in Court, Now in Custody

The 26-year-old appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 30 March. He was remanded in custody as the case awaits a Crown Court hearing, date yet to be confirmed.
