CCTV Snaps Two Ink Cartridge Thieves at Swanley Asda

Police have released CCTV images after a brazen theft and attempted swipe of pricey computer ink cartridges at Swanley’s Asda supermarket.

£1,000 Worth of Ink Stolen—Security Stop Thwarted

On Monday 11 May 2020, around 4.15pm, two men tried to make off with stock valued at over £1,000 without paying. Security staff caught them trying to leave the London Road store, recovering the goods—yet the suspects still managed to escape.

Linked to Violent Theft From January

Officers believe this crime is tied to a January 12 incident at the same shop. Back then, a staff member was assaulted after challenging a man and woman wheeling a trolley out loaded with ink cartridges worth more than £800.

Police Seek Public Help to ID Suspects

The person pictured in released CCTV footage could hold key info for the investigation. Anyone recognising him is urged to contact West Kent police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/80087/20.
