Reginald Wilson: Known Killer with ‘Psychopath’ Tattoo Freed
Reginald Wilson, 61, who has “psychopath” and “chaos” tattooed across his forehead, was convicted of the brutal 1990 murder of consultant dermatologist David Birkett. Wilson smashed the 56-year-old doctor at least 17 times with a hammer, shocking the court with his “frightening level of sadism.”
Despite Cleveland Police detective sergeant Ray Morton’s warning that “if he ever gets out I am sure that he will kill again,” Wilson has been released on licence.
Parole Board Clears Wilson After Fourth Hearing
Originally handed a whole life sentence, Wilson’s term was reduced to a minimum of 30 years. Last November, after his fourth parole board hearing, Wilson—who has since changed his name to Zenshen—was deemed fit for release.
The Parole Board praised his “good progress” under open prison conditions and said there were “no significant concerns.”
Deputy PM David Lammy Fights to Reverse Parole Decision
Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy is mounting a judicial review to challenge the Parole Board’s controversial decision to free Wilson, underscoring fears the killer remains a grave danger.
