Exmouth Lifeboat Window Crisis Solved in Under 48 Hours

Last August, a massive 8x4ft window at Exmouth Lifeboat Station was smashed and needed urgent replacement. Enter Exmouth’s very own MPS Glass & Window Centre, who sprang into action.

Family Firm Pulls Off Night-Time Rescue

The MPS team didn’t just fix the window — they worked through the night. They assessed the damage, crafted a perfect replacement, and fitted it in under 48 hours. And here’s the kicker: they didn’t charge a penny. The entire job was donated to the RNLI.

RNLI Boss Hands Out Special Thanks

For their lightning-fast work and generosity, MPS Glass & Window Centre received a special certificate of recognition from RNLI Chief Executive Mark Dowie. The award honours their speedy service and donation to one of the UK’s most vital charities.

“We are very appreciative of this special award that will take pride of place in our offices,” said Malcolm Sansom, Managing Director of MPS Windows. “As a family-run business in Exmouth for 31 years and a keen water user myself, I understand how crucial the RNLI volunteers are. We were happy to support their fantastic work.”

Des White, Chair of the Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Team, added, “We were blown away by the quality and speed of the repairs. MPS Windows’ donation means the world to us. It’s fantastic that the RNLI Council has recognised their generosity with this well-deserved accolade.”
